The viral "Milk Crate Challenge" involved climbing unstable pyramid-shaped structures of milk crates, resulting in numerous serious injuries including broken bones and concussions as participants inevitably fell.

In 2021 (continuing to resurface in 2023-2024), the "Milk Crate Challenge" became a viral sensation and medical nightmare as participants attempted to climb unstable pyramid structures made of stacked milk crates. The challenge was designed to fail - the crates were inherently unstable and would collapse, sending climbers crashing to the ground. Hospitals reported treating dozens of injuries from the challenge, including broken bones, concussions, spinal injuries, and severe bruising. Medical professionals pleaded with people to stop attempting it. Videos of spectacular failures went viral, actually encouraging more attempts as people sought their moment of fame. TikTok and other platforms eventually banned or removed milk crate challenge content. Orthopedic surgeons noted the falls often resulted in serious injuries that required surgery. The challenge became a perfect example of how internet fame can override common sense and self-preservation instincts.

That's Meth'd Up!
